Well, just got my final medical bill. With my doctor, lab, and hospital, I'm now around $1100 in debt. Combine that with my two dental visits, and this medial stuff took over $1300 to clear up. I managed to scrape together enough to pay off my doctor in one check. (sigh) It's something that had to be done, mind you. At least I shouldn't be blind-sided like I was with my diabetes. My heart is fine, my LDL is somewhat high, but not dangerously, and my A1C is 7. Which is far higher than I want it, but as soon as the weather warms up, I'm going to be biking, and it will go down below 6 again.
The 'recession' made me a bit depressed, so I let myself go. But now with the business I'm working on, and determined as hell to go ahead with my life, I'm now on schedule for what I wanted to do. I'm going to bike, hike, and get away from the computer. Enjoy what ever time I have left on this soil.
I have to pay my quarterly sales taxes in 10 days, but that won't be much, thank goodness. Also I'm putting as much as I can in getting a new bike. My budget is around $250, and I'm looking on-line. I have found one place that has free shipping. I'm also looking at Wally world, and K world, as well as Sears, and JC Pennys. Also Lexington I think has at least one shop. I have till 15 May, so that's 6 weeks. $42 a week, I think I can clear that :).
Gods I can't wait! I'm looking forward to hiking over the folks 250 acre farm, and I have my sights set on 3 islands on the Ohio river to explore too.
I'll be sure to post pics if I get 'em.
