Whoo Whoo!

I just got done checking for the requirements, and classes I'll need for my Lead Base paint, Radon and Mold testing certificates

There is a couple of schools that /sound/ good which offer all-online testing and training. That's great! Travel will be 2 - 3x the cost of the class, that is IF I could get to them. I'm a major plane phob, so it'd be train/greyhound/rental to get to them. Which knowing Amtrak, it'd probably take 6 weeks to get to CA from here :\

However, the costs for the courses /isn't probative./ They are within the saving option for me, which I much prefer. No loans (even IF I could get one) to pay every month, and that also eliminates the danger of default if I'm again in a near-survival area I'm in now. So if the prices for the courses is competitive  I'm probably looking at around $1,100 - $2k

The times too isn't bad. I think the longest is about 4 weeks.

Now I'm not done yet. I need to look more, and do more research before I plunk down doe. But at $2000 I've got time to do that. It'll take me awile to save up that much. :\

That was also P1 on my 2do list :)

Why did I wait till I was 45 to do this? Dammit, I wish I had a time machine to show myself just coming out of high school what's going to happen to me, and how to go.

[sighs]

It'll be a challenge, I know that. But I'm more determined to ever to change my life for good. Before I was just running around like a chicken with his head cut off. Now I know /where and how to go/. There looks to be some light at the end of this tunnel. I'm still not sure if it's the Superchief though.
