An ill wind blew though
Isn't it weird how nature works? Just before I left for work on the book, this /intense/ storm came though. Well - it came though all right. We got some rain (5mm) little boom, and doom. Then 20 minutes later, it was gone.
3 km south of us however...whoo....
The Weather dept said we had 80km straight line winds and I had to drive 55mph though trees, branches, roof panels and the like on the road to get to the PVA to work on the book.
When I got home, I went around and looked at the damage. What's amazing is; The area we once lived in, was covered in downed trees, tree branches, and such. Yet as I said, just 3 km north, it didn't even pull a leaf off our trees.
