I think finally I'm on the right track to heal.
Things was interesting today. After a wipe/reinstall of XP for a friend/client, I delivered his system. While there, he was talking to a friend of his, and she was having problems. He directed me to her, and I made $25 from her :) So that's $75 in one day.
I only wish I could do this most days.
But also this led to something more too. The same friend I spoke of, has a LOT of junk they want to sell. Lots of collectable stuff, and even a player piano! They want me to sell this stuff for them on E-Bay! Oh boy...now I'm nervious. Can I do it? I've only had a little luck selling on E-bay before. I never did consignment.
I will try, and I'm going to also start trying to make a sales business on Ebay starting ASAP. I've spoken about doing this several times, but this time I may have everything necessary. I need the doe, and next year I'm going to put my life into high-gear. Starting with getting a new (used) car, and start classes as well. So I'm going to have ot get to work. I may go for a part-time job as well.
This Re(de)session has really been hard. both my super and i are down nealry 75% over 08, and it may not get better. My super's even talking about retiring now, and with all the shit going on, I don't see the appraisal industry surviving much longer. We're doing 3x as much work, but we can't raise our rates, because the lenders wants these as cheap as possible. $250 - $300 is almost too much. Now also, they're switching to BPOs, which are basically a cheap appraisal, done by a non-appraiser. Going back to the 1980s or such when you didn't need to be licensed. (which of course lead to all these housing problems.)
I spent the day off meds, and creams to see if I'm healing. Sure enough, the pain and stiffness was far less than I anticipated. But it also pointed to one problem. My right shoulder is hurting far more than my right. Funny how that is the same shoulder that I use my mouse with. Reading up, I found that my elbows should be against my body when I use the system for long periods. Gee, wonder if my elbow being 8" from my body when I rest it on the arm rest has anything to do with the injury? Shee... I got a pillow that I put agaist me, and the arm rest to act like an arm rest and that's comfortable.
I'm still staying off the system as long as possible, and using the time to draw instead. So I'm making rapid progress. Next week I may try to post my first WIP bipedal fur picture. I have a Hindvalian, and now a fox pictures in mind. I won't guarentee it'll be a
dark_natasha quality, but it'll be at least 2 steps up from a stick figure :).
So anyway, enough of that. On to bed.
