I think...

Therefor, I'm not bald. at least I feel like it.

Finally I think the system is running right. I have had nothing but headaches getting this system back online. Tried Kubuntu 8.10. I spent 8 hours downloading v8.10 found out I got the Gnome version - sigh - then spend another 6 downloading KUBUNTU 8.10. Just to see if I can use it. Ug. It HAS to have that god-awful Plasmoid KDE, and the video won't work. I just tossed (or wasted) 2 CDRs. Finally reinstalled v8.04.01 which works just fine. Wouldn't be as bad if I didn't have to wait 4 hours for updates, (and the way this is set up, you can't install anything until IT updates the system.) Then another 2 hours for program files to install. Why ANYONE thinks that Linux's way of installing programs is so fantastic, should be stuck in the giggle bin. Windows 1 file/click installing is so much better.

Which leads to the 2nd thing. I had to wait till I went to wal-mart to get more CDs which added another 24 hours since I have to wait for rides.

But the system is now running fine, I'm just getting preferences and other fixes installed to use it property. Shouldn't be more than to marrow before I'm totally back to normal. Thank goodness I have Saraswashi for backup. Almost 200g of files had to be transferred back but nothing was lost. This is times in which I wish Sara was a full computer, I could just network it to this system and no files needing transferred. Maybe next year when things are better. it would be nice if Zeus was a dumb terminal, and Sara was a full server with all files. - ahh dreams.

Oh 2 bits of news:

#1 I've been waiting to announce this, but I think I can finally declare myself free from the injury of my shoulders. I found an article in a local paper and sure enough with a few of the exercises, it cleared it up. I just have to keep doing this like every 30 minutes or so to keep it away. It's been about two weeks, and I'm well clear of the pain I was in.

#2 To srain; I finally ordered a couple of art tools in order for me to start working on that picture of the covered bridge I mentioned. I meant to order them 2 weeks ago but things got out of hand. Hopefully this will give me a grid I can use, and once I have the basic bridge down, I can draw it correctly. I'm looking forward to it.

Oh and one thing; I know I've got replies in LJ dating back to Feb. I'm sorry for not responding, with the injury and the computer foul-up. I thank you all for them, and would like to respond to all. But since they're so late, I'll have to let them go. I'll go though, answer any questions, and start doing at least an evening response to any LJ response so I won't get so far behind anymore.

Anyway, back to work.
