Ok, please grandmaster Davis, forgive me. You cannot be topped, and you are missed :)

Well Ike is coming though, and JEZZ is he a blow-hard. We're getting cat 1 hurricane force winds here, there's debre everywhere. Thankfully at the moment, the privacy fence is holding. Also just saw the hook n ladder (latter?) truck go screaming down the hill, so there must be a 3 story or worse fire going on somewhere.

The scanner just had an alert for the fire department to check for downed power lines and such. Thankfully that hasn't been a problem yet here.  Jezz, just heard on the scanner. The wind knocked over a person's propane tank, and there was gas everywhere! They're evacuating a 1 city square block!

So Ike? GET LOST!!

[ahem]

Anyway, I'm still working on the model, got the base coat of paint done for the cockpit, and the outside. It's coming out pretty good. Of course I'm not fully happy with it, but it's a start Also finding all sorts of tips n technique sites on how to do models better. Like this new one. Good details on drybrushing - something that I've always needed to learn, now I know how to do it. Next model, I'll start using it.

It's also lucky that I worked my arse off to get all these things off my back. Today we had an employee come in, with a big surprise (her words) She listed 6 pieces of property over 2 days! Also Friday, we got 5 orders for appraisals. This means probably 2 days of MLS, and web site updating alone [sigh]

I found a picture of a stunning white-tail doe - apparently a pet of someone who took a photo from behind and above, so she's looking up at the camera. It's beautiful!! :)  I've contacted the photographer about posting it to endeering, but until I hear I can't say more (this is just my policy - I respect people's desire for privacy. Something big companies don't give a shit about.) But I'm going to use it to try some sketches of deer, at that angle. Something I haven't tried yet. Come to think of it, no animal has had that angle - will be good practice.

Ok, caught up,

Will be back when I can. Glad to hear that Galivston wasn't hit as badly as they thought.
