It's been a while

So since my last entry a lot has happened: the road trip has come and gone, my trip to Mt. St. Helens fell through, I had a huge (albeit brief) family reunion in Colorado (meeting a dozen family members for the first time ever)...and of course the semester began.

Right now is definitely not the optimal time to be writing a post given that I have my first major paper of the semester due in about...oh...13 hours. But whatever. I'm milking the last few moments of proscrastination before I tackle Plato...or Derrida. I still haven't decided. Dammit. I've really got to go do this.

Anyway, tomorrow night is the second Brown contra dance of the year. Last one was a blast, and I'm psyched to be back in the dancing mode. I really missed it over August and September when I didn't get to dance for a whole 6 weeks. Que lastima!

I've actually recently ordered some new "shoes" that were suggested to me as good contra shoes (or at least ones that I've seen various people wearing at contra dances). I'm eager for their arrival.

Okay, that's it for now. I'll try to resume a regular regiment of journal entries.
