Ok I know i haven't updated since the beginning of summer so i'll do an entry now about the 3 big parts of my summer so far:
Ok so the day after graduation (so sad, i was close to tears the whole time) we spent the morning packing and then left for SFO, after like 14 or 15 hours on different planes(including a nine seater! so cool!) we landed on a tiny island in the carribean (british virgin islands) called Virgin Gorda. We stayed for about 3 weeks until pretty much the end of june just relaxing, tanning, havin fun on the beach and eating fabulous carribean food(and of course drinking strawberry daquiris ;)) one of the highlights was the friday night live music and dancing at a restaurant called Chez bamboo. well i won't get ahead of myself. at first i didn't know that there was music or dnacing at that restaurant, but i went to this other pub/restaurant called the Bath and Turtle for lunch one day. since service was slow( as it always is in the carribean) i took the check for our lunch inside to our waiter who was reaaally cute. so i gave him the check and was going back out side when he called after me: "hey are you going to Chez Bamboo tonight(fri night)" and i came back inside and i asked him what was happening at chez bamboo and he was like "oh there's live music and dancing. im going to be bartending there but do you think you would want to dance with me" and im like, oh of course, sure sounds good" so anyway, i ended up going to chez bamboo every friday night to dance wiht him and some of his other friends when he wasnt working there. i had to leave on a saturday and he wasnt there that firday night so i called the Bath and turtle in the morning and i was like oh i have to leave today and he was like oh no im so sorry i couldnt make it to the dance, can i have your number so i can call you sometime" so he currently has my number lol and yea he called a few times so i'm happy. other highlight of the trip was the snorkeling trip. my family went ont his power boat with one other family and spent the day sailing around to different snorkel stops, including a break for lunch on this floating boat/restaurant where we saw allie and kimi chiang. the other interesting part aobut the restaurant was that originally there was a dare that if a girl/woman jumped off the top deck topless she could get a tshirt, but the bartender there ran out of tshirts so he changed it to jumping off the deck completely naked! well i can say i defintely didn't do it lol but as we were leaving, this fairly old lady in a greenish yellow thong bikini started stripping so we shielded our eyes and left asap. well i guess those are the highlights of my vacation, i did take pics if anyone's interested, and of course i have pics of the carribean style braids i had in my hair lol. ok now on to ali's summer show.

So like 2 or 3 days after i got back from vacation, i started at Mr. Ali's summer theater "intensive" we had yoga/prep/monologue classes in the moring with a couple of Ali's friends Charisa and Damara. then an hour lunch and then rehersal from 1-3:30 the first week was spent going through the script and looking up what we didnt know( which was a lot since it was shakespeare) and getting cast. then we did blocking and runthroughs, tech week, and then the last two days of camp we did performances at 8pm. Ok backtracking a bit, i was originally cast in two parts: the annoying hollywood mom of Proteus(one of the 2 gentlemen of verona) where i sat onstage in a kiddie pool and basically bitched at nick v's character, and i was also cast as one of the homeless ppl who takes the characters hostage near the end. now somewhere in the rehersal process i gained a third part, shall we say... a cameo, as the Duchess's(Sarah L) somewhat slutty girlfriend(who never really got a name) all three parts were ton's of fun, and even though none of my closest friends were in the camp, i had a great time with everyone and the show was a lot of fun, especially after we painted the stage pink with blue hearts!! on the last day of camp we also played capture the flag int he spac(with the risers set up) so so funny/fun! ok well ther's probably a lot i didnt mention but ask me aobut it if ur interested. oh ok one more thing, on the morning of the last day of camp we did a final dance/yoga ensemble, and our final presentations of our monologues(mine was from glass menagerie) and that all turned out really well too! ok on to the last cut in this entry i promise!

Ok now we're up to yesterday on my update of major events this summer. so like 3 days ago i managed to get 3 semi good tickets to see BNL at the shoreline! graned they were doin a split show with alanis morrisette(ick) but come on it was BNL!!! so anyways, i knew my mom wanted to go since i played lots of my bnl cd's for her in the jeep on vacation(which btw i got to drive!!) but i had an extra ticket. rach wouldnt be able to go cause she had 2 different classes she'd have to miss, and the other great bnl fan, john, wouldnt be back from maine until the day after(today). so i had no idea what to do with the extra ticket! at first i asked my awesome guitar teacher vincent, since he likes bnl too and he had taught me to play lots of their songs, but he had to teach lessons that couldnt be rescheduled. so i started racking my brains thinking of who else would like to go. finally rach called yesterday, just before she had to go to her first class and i remeinded her that it wa BNL day and she was like "welll, i could skip the last bit of youth radio and reschedule my kaplan class" and so was like omg really!! and she ended up checking it with the rent's, driving over to my house and going to the concert with us!! i was so so happy!! and ok omg the concert was so much fun!!! i'l seen the "ladies" before in san francisco when rach got tickets for her birthday,(which btw was so awesome) but this concert was soo cool!! we got there like half an hour late and were hoping that the "ladies" were'nt playing first but when we got inside they said that there had been an opening act at 7 and that BNL was starting at 7:30! score!! omg they are the coolest band in the world! they played like all of their best songs, and they're so energetic, and omg the lead singer's voices are soo soo cool! ok here's a messageboard entry with the setlist and some other details bout the concert:Set List:

If I Had a Million Dollars
-The rap started with a comment about saggy jowls then a segue to Nixon, Kissinger, and voting. Steve was in a political mood.
-Ed screwed up the first chord of Hello City and they had to start over. He mentioned later he had been up in Portland the day before getting a new tattoo over his shoulder and clavicle (he was pointing to his right). Despite a chorus of requests to show (take?) it off, he said it wasn't ready to be seen yet. He had on a t-shirt with the sleeves cut off. It must be said that the man has *fine* arms.
Steve soo funny during the encore. He picked up the monkey tossed on stage during If I Had A Million Dollars, stuffed it in his pants, unzipped his fly, and (after some struggling) pulled out the... monkey's head. And proceeded to sing the rest of the song this way. it was The funniest thing in the world!!! -HotLikeWasabi
ok well i really was only lookin to find the set list, but yea hte highlights this person mentioned were hilarious too!! ok i'm out for this entry, but comment if u want any more info on any of this( i doubt it) i'll try to be better bout updating so i dont have to do monster entries like this one! -L
