Just make sure you never rip any parsnip leaves up...not that it's likely to have GM ones.

Now I'm curious! what happens if you rip up parsnip leaves? or are you just very protective of them? :p

The juice from parsnip leaves/stem (especially from the wild ones) supposedly reacts with sunlight (even a small amount, on overcast days) and can cause nasty burns.
