Oh wonderful! They both sounded so in character. Okay, Sam was a bit more irked with Daniel than I would've expected, but it worked so well within the universe of the story, and the explanation was very cool.

Lots of little points...how Daniel's acts like saving Shyla may relate to his inability to save Sha're, and the security risk, and Daniel wanting to make things right and saving her to last, and the messy apartment.

Aw. I wanna hug Sam and Daniel...okay, maybe Daniel a *little* more. ;-)

This is exactly how I pictured it would go...Daniel awkward and sweet, and Sam making it a little hard for him. My favorite part:

Thanks! Need is one of those episodes where it feels like so much of the fallout for the relationships is lacking. Fortunately we have fic to fill the gaps. ;)

We definitely needed a tag for this episode with the two of them. That scene hurts so much on screen. You did a wonderful job healing the wounds. It may be that I'm writing this in a coffee shop, but I loved the details about Sam's chai (mmm) and the recycled paper cups, etc. - they really enhanced the feel of having a conversation you want but don't want, with your head-voice going into intense focus on little things. Loved it.
