Hello guys!
I’m hoping to be volunteer next year ( I’m saving money, searching flights, hotels, and so on, for almost 2 years), which will be my first time going to San Diego/California.

2. That, I have no idea... again it may just depend what job they give you. When in doubt, closer to the con, contact the volunteer coordinator and inquire if this will be a liability or not.
3. Volunteering, like everything else is a high demand thing.... lots of people who might have failed to get passes will try to do the volunteer thing to get to go to the con for just one day.
4. They will determine your work schedule, you don't get a say into when they need you or what they need your for.
5. Most volunteering is limited to watching doors, and wrangling line-ups.... you probably won't be working with any actors or anything glamourous.... it's a lot of sign holding and politely asking people to move.
6. Have a good time! Sometimes it's easier to go by yourself (No losing friends in crowds or going to panels you don't care about). If you're feeling lonely, don't be shy... you CAN go up to people who are eating lunch on the steps and ask if you can join. You're all geeks afterall! I went out for lunch last year and couldn't find a table to sit at. I ended up sharing a table with some nice locals who chatted with me for over an hour.
7. If you have your EPIC membership, SDCC will email you when reg will open. Just follow the steps they provide.

About my cosplay, it would be likely "pseudo-cosplay", since, probably, I won't have all the clothes, but still, I'll do the makeup anyway in one of the 4 days. So I think it won't have any problems, or will have?
