Poem: Yes, I wrote something that isn't like, a meme for a change
Okay, so I haven't actually titled it yet.
But I'm giving it this tentative title:
[Political Statement - From someone who thinks it's all wrong, somehow]
In all of existance since all can remember
there's always been love, hate, peace, and war.
All I can do is do nothing but wonder
where will our lives take us, how much, and how far?
When I was younger I didn't think much of the world,
yet now world events consume me, shape me, mold... me.
How I think, how I react, how my emotions are made,
and yet still, there's that side of me that wants
nothing, but to think that everything is okay.
Even if they're not, several thousand miles away.
We think about living in peace, and go about as normal
when people are dying in a foreign place by foreign things
with mortar shells, Car bombs, and explosions a-plenty.
How is it that the nation that we so love and adore
will turn on its people and claim things to be secure
when we're not, really, not like anyone really knows
even though many are dying, their families crying away.
All for "democracy" when it feels more like damn tyranny.
