[Dream Post (Haseo's dream)]
*You're in a strange city. It oddly reminds you of Venice. There's some canals and bridges, yes. But the archetecture doesn't resemble that of Venice. And there's these weird green things floating at certain points in the city. Touching them will teleport you to another part of the city. One leads you to a big dome thing. If you enter, you'll find yourself in a large room that contains a bigger and shiny version of those teleporter things. You can see people appearing and disappearing in front of it.
And then, if you're in said building, there's a younger version of Haseo running past you. If you follow him, click on the lj-cut. If you decide not to or didn't enter the Chaos Gate room, well, you can wander around if you want. No one apparently can see you...well, except for this pig thing.
"Daddy/Mommy! I'm hungry," it whines. "Give me something to eat, oink!"
You could ignore it, but the damn thing will keep following you around. Maybe it'll follow you into somebody's else dream until you feed it...or something.
By the way, everyone's dressed weird. There are people in armor, scantily-clad women, vaguely modestly-dressed women, people with a wizard hat and perhaps wizard robes, guys with no shirt on, and...is that a dog person that just walked past you? Also, everyone's speaking this weird language...except for the gruntypig.
And the pig thing is still complaining of being hungry.*
*Meanwhile, little Haseo stopped in front of the gate. He appears to be six years old and wearing The World version of peasant clothing. Clearly this is a time before teenage angst got him to wear black leather and belts.
"C'mon, dad, hurry up!" he shouts adorably.
"I'm coming, son. Don't you worry," says a man's voice. You try to find the source and when you do, no matter how much you look up, you can't see the man's head at the top. More importantly, did everything else seemed to become much bigger?
Huh, now you're the same size as Haseo. And from now on, where they go, you go.
So now you're in a field. In the distance you can see a weapon of some sort pointing to the sky. It looks like it hasn't been used for hundreds of years.
It turns out to be a dream where Haseo learns how to use a sword. If you wander away, blue lion things will summon geisers until you're dead. The man will sigh, fight them off and bring you back to life, if he notices. If not, you'll wake up right when it appears that the lions are going to eat you, liver first.
If you stayed close, eventually, the man turns as though he's noticed something.
"What's wrong, dad?"
"Something's coming."
In the distance, a Cyberman approaches, chanting 'Delete, delete, delete'. Haseo appears to know what it is but he has trouble declaring the name of the creature.
Finally he says, "Wha...what do we do?"
"Disable the emotional inhibitor," came the reply. Somehow the voice starts sounding familiar. Is that an Estuary!English accent?
"Right," Haseo nodded and raised a hand. "Lei Zas!" A beam of light shot out and hit the Cyberman in the chest. Sparks...spark out and the Cyberman stumbles.
"I...what...Haseo?" it says. Haseo's eyes widen in horror.
"Dad!"
"...No son, don't look at me. I've become...one of them. Its too late for me. Just get out of here!" The Cyberman explodes.
"Wait, don't go dad! What about mom?!" There is no answer from the metallic remains. When Haseo turns around, the man he was with has disappeared.
"Doctor? Where did you go, Doctor? Doctor!" Again, no answer
Now alone, he sits onto the grass and brings his knees up to his chest and buries his face into them.*
