[AU Ripperverse] - Date Night - closed to prodigalgiles

There was a part of Buffy that was trying not to think what it meant that she was attracted to 'Ripper'. There was another part of her that thought it felt right that she was. It only weirded her out a little that her Watcher was Giles and she was going on a date with the younger version of him that fell through time

Ripper made his way up to the door of Buffy's place running his fingers back through his hair to make it look a little more presentable. For once he was wearing something besides jeans and a t-shirt though his leather jacket was in the back seat of the car he'd gotten just a few days ago. He knocked on the door and waited.

Back in the day Buffy would have made her date wait so that she could make an entrance but that seemed like another lifetime ago. Instead, she's at the door quickly from the knock and smiles. She's wearing a spaghetti strapped tank with hip hugging trousers that shows glimpses of abdomen when she moves.

"Hey, come on in."

"Thanks,"he nodded giving her a smile,"You look great."

Ripper stepped inside looking over her. He hadn't gone overboard with his clothes just a pair of khakis and a short sleeve dark green button down shirt.

"Thanks, so do you. Want something to drink? I have alcoholic or non." Buffy kept beer for friends and guests, but she didn't have any. Ever since the Cave!Buffy incident, she stuck to wine or rum. No beer for her.

"Non is fine for the moment,"he smiled shifting on his feet. "Don't feel the need for alcohol right yet."

"Non works." She smiled and shut the door behind him, "come on in. Welcome to the Summers abode." Buffy headed toward the kitchen to get them both a soda.

He looked around as he followed her toward the kitchen. "Much nicer than where I'm staying."

"Where are you staying?" She tossed over her shoulder and went to open the fridge before she turned around and handed a coke to him, keeping one for herself.

"On the couch of one of the guys in the band I'm in. His cat is angry it has to share with me,"he grinned.

Buffy laughed, "yeah I feel your pain with that one. My friends Tara and Willow have a kitten that can be pissier than my sister Dawn at times." She motioned toward the other room.

"Let's get comfortable out here."

[prodigalgiles]

"Some animals are divas,"he grinned and nodded. "Sure, sounds good." Ripper made his way toward the other room.

When they entered the living room again, Buffy took him towards the sofa and sat down with him. "So how's the band going? Getting a lot of jobs?" She grinned, "and do I get my private concert tonight?"

[prodigalgiles]

"It's going pretty good. We've actually got a few gigs lined up here in the next few weeks,"he smiled,"You can have it tonight yes."

"Hey, that's great." Buffy was happy for him. "Both the gigs and my private concert."

[prodigalgiles]

"Thanks, I think so too but a couple of the guys are Debbie Downers,"he grinned. "I'll grab my guitar in a bit."

"No rush." Buffy said with a smile and shifted her weight so that she was leaning back against the sofa but also close to Ripper. "Just wanted to know if I get a concert tonight."
