A few nights ago.... Saturday night, to be specific, a pain started in the back of my mouth. It was a pain I was used to meaning that I had food or some other irritant in my chipped tooth. And, naturally, I would rinse and brush. And, usually, the pain would end soon. So, I did that and went to bed... however, it felt like the pain wasn't really subsiding like it usually does. However, I fell asleep after being kept up about a little over an hour due to the pain. But, I woke up a couple hours later. The pain was still there. In fact, it felt worse. Well... I was kept up all night by the pain after that.
I watched the windows glow with the rising of the Sunday sun. Several hours after that, I felt I got the pain down enough that I might be able to take a nap. So, I got ready to nap. Rinsed and brushed. Laid down in bed.... and, suddenly... the pain began to grow at an exponential rate over the course of a couple minutes. It eventually grew to excruciating levels. To the point of tears. Yes... to tears. So, I went to the emergency room, but... by the time I got to triage, the pain was mostly gone. So, I decided I would just check myself out and see a dentist on a day when one would be available. Well, after some looking around I got it figured out and... eh, well... I found myself at a dentist's office and about 9 hours ago, that bothersome tooth got pulled out... ooh... wait... let me revise that. That bothersome tooth got pried out. Yes. The usual means of pulling it out didn't work. They had to pry it out. Which hurt a lot despite the several injections they gave my mouth. I found the pain somewhat similar to the pain I felt during my biopsy.. only this time, the pain was in my mouth. The dentist actually wasn't able to get the entire tooth out. There's still a piece that needs to be pulled on my follow up visit on Monday.
Yeah... that was my day. Oh, yeah... pain medication and antibiotics... yay.... time for sleep...
