To clarify, I don't like Chuck P because I feel he's too derivative of his influences, like Burroughs and Ballard, who in my opinion did that whole thing far better than he did. I just feel like he's going for shock value sometimes and his stuff just doesn't seem to carry weight with me.
So I was doing my show today, which went really well, and Chrissy calls me to ask me to play guitar on a demo for her so it can be passed off to Loretta Lynn's manager through Kevin's family. I still can't believe it, I'm so proud of her, she deserves such recognition. Plus, I'm playing guitar on the demo!
Man, I was fucking down all week, I dunno why, but a lot of shit got resolved, Susan appeared, I saw my dad, and Evan and co. always make me laugh. "Have fun at prom" was the line of the weekend. I saw that new movie from the guy who did Trainspotting, it was ok, Rosa gave me a free ticket I hold my tongue, use it to assess, the damage from way back when it mattered, but nothing seems important anymore as the song goes.
I'm seeing Interpol on Friday with Moira! So excited!
