'So you're telling me that I go around travel in time, with you of all angels' Dean asked in an obviously disbelieving tone. 'If you're who you're telling you are in the first place.'
'I don't have to convince you of anything, big guy. I was just gracious enough to answer your questions' answered this another angel that suddenly appeared out of nowhere only a few minutes ago.
Gabriel on the other hand would've recognized his own power anywhere and anytime, so he did not question that the one standing before them was indeed a version of himself, in flesh and blood and grace. So he didn't pay much attention to the conversation going on.
He was a lot more fascinated by this other Dean. By outer appearance he didn't look much different from his present counter-part, but he was. He looked at his "younger" self with something close to amusement, that was obviously caused by the interrogation and the disbelief. But what really caught Gabriel's attention was something else. And he wondered. What could've happened between them somewhere in the near future that made this Dean look at him without a trace of alarm or suspicion. Or maybe... even fondness.
He only knew that he liked that look and wouldn't mind seeing it all the time, maybe from this Dean too, who was busy snarling at Gabriel's future-self right now.
