Teaching: halfway into 2nd month

Sorry, I have a lot of these entries, apparently... :|

Ultimate Bromance, aka. the two boys in 6-2 who are extremely, extremely cuddly with each other, have been separated! SHOCK AND HORROR. My co-teacher made one of them switch seats with another boy because he was being too loud. Mostly, I'm just a little sad that I won't get to see their epic snuggling moments anymore. Haven't seen any signs of separation anxiety from them yet, so that's a good thing? :D;

So I bought this hoodie recently. It has cat ears. I have no idea why I'm like this. :| I wore it to work one day, because I knew the kids would love it. And they did! I kept getting comments like "Teacher! Cat!" or "Teacher, cute!" the entire day. One 6-2 girl, let's call her JY, came up to me to comment on my hoodie before class began. She was a bit shy at first, probably because a) I'm her teacher, and b) everyone's shy using a language they can't speak well. But she opened up after a few minutes and was soon chattering with me about Kpop. Her two BFFs, BK and HJ, were sitting in front of me, and they kept going "Ooooooh" teasingly and squealing throughout our entire conversation, ~awed and amazed~ by how much English JY was using. JY was just all "WAYLT!!! ;_____;" at them. I learned that JY is a Suju fan, BK is a Big Bang fan, and HJ is a BEAST fan. :3 And JY remembered that I was a SHINee fan, haha. It was probably the longest I've talked to any student individually (it helped that JY speaks pretty good English for her age), and it was really nice! I hope other students are less shy about talking to me one-on-one in the future.

Before the 6-1 class began, I pulled up the hood and put my head down to nap for a few minutes, because I was really exhausted. When the kids started coming in, I kept hearing them go "Who is that? Who is that?" at my co-teacher. Finally, someone poked my shoulder. When I looked up, I swear half the class was hovering around me and staring. The boy who poked me was all, "Teacher, don't sleep. Wake up! No sleep!" ... I'm still wondering how it's appropriate that I got scolded by one of my students. :||||||

After I was done teaching for the day, I had to call my dad. I was talking to him in the hallway when the 6-1 boy who woke me up passed by. I was using a mix of English and Cantonese, and the boy slowly turned to look at me with this o_____o! face. Then he kept stalling and hovering by the staircase and watching me, like he wanted to say something to me. He eventually gave up, though, and left before I was done with the call. I'm fairly certain that if he had talked to me, he would've said something like "Teaching speaking English??" or "Wow, Teacher is CRAY-JEE!"
