Met my fourth graders today! I've finally met all the kids I'm going to be teaching this semester. :D Out of the regular school classes, the fourth graders are definitely my favorite. In general, the fifth graders are kind of loud and disobedient, and the sixth graders are a little flippant and disinterested, but the fourth graders are still wide-eyed and adorable and attentive. Of course there are always individual exceptions, but those are the general attitudes I get from the classes as a whole.

Sobs, two of the fourth graders called me "Princess" today. One boy guessed that when my co-teacher was asking the class what they thought my name was, and another girl asked if she could use it as my nickname.

One girl called out "Teacher!" to get my attention. When I turned to look at her, she looked like she was havng a hard time saying what she wanted to tell me in English. So finally she just gave me two thumbs-ups and beamed at me. ;-;

Two fifth grade girls asked if I had a boyfriend. When I told them I did, they went all sparkly-eyed and squealed with fangirl glee and clasped their hands together. It was kind of hilarious.

Taught my first full class of first graders on Friday. I knew five of them already, since they attend my after school class, and they all waved at me and seemed very proud that they already knew the new English teacher. The three girls latched onto me everytime I passed by them during the class. I taught them the alphabet song and did a worksheet with them. It was hilarious; I would tell them, "Look for for the letter "B" on your worksheet and circle it!" Then one kid would come running up to me being all "TEACHUH TEACHUH!" and hold up her worksheet to show me that she'd circled it. Then all the other kids would follow her example and come running up to me to show that they'd circled the letter too. They then did this for every. Single. Letter. 30-ish kids x 26 letters = a LOT of times that I went "Good job!" and "That's great!" within 40 minutes. By the end of class, some of the other kids who watched the kids who already knew me hug me and cling to me got the idea and decided to follow along. I was literally dragged down by six six-year-olds bear-hugging me at the end of class.

Met a bunch of other English teachers from orientation for dinner on Friday. It was a lot of fun, since I got to see all my friends again. During dinner, I kind of noticed that one of the teachers at dinner that I hadn't met at orientation kept looking at me. Finally, he was all, "Do you know Yoobin from Wonder Girls? YOU LOOK LIKE HER. SEKSHII QUEEN." He then called me Yoobin for the rest of the night. Extremely flattering, since I think Yoobin's super hot, but I was pretty much all I'M PRETTY SURE YOU'RE JUST REALLY DRUNK AND YOU HAVE SOJU GOGGLES ON RN. He also kept calling my friend Sandara.

Met up with hoyah, bulgocrazyi, jinjja, and puppycadet on Saturday! Went to Yoochun's gelato place, went to a bubble tea place and saw idol signatures ALL over the wall, went shopping, went to an SM Everysing. :D Stole Rock of Ages posters with puppycadet in the most un-ninja of ways ever. It turns out that puppycadet knows one of my two closest friends from orientation. o_o Talk about a small world. Went to dinner and a swing cafe after! Had way too much fun with the swing with hoyah. I feel bad for whoever sat behind us. :|

Went shopping with puppycadet in Myeongdong on Sunday! Bought a Lucifer CD with her and got a free posters! :3 Then met a friend from home afterwards; he's studying abroad at Ewha Woman's University right now. We went out for dinner with some of his friends and had kalbi and samgyupsal and he paid for me because I'm poor and won't have money until my paycheck at the end of the month.
