Below is my ranking of the Season Three episodes of the Amazon Prime series, "THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL". Created by Amy Sherman-Palladino, the series stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam "Midge" Maisel:
"THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL" SEASON THREE (2019) EPISODE RANKING
1. (3.08) "A Jewish Girl Walks Into the Apollo ..." - Comedienne Miriam "Midge" Maisel learns a hard show business lesson after her comedy gig at the Apollo Theater, during singer Shy Baldwin's tour. Her ex-husband Joel Maisel prepares his new nightclub for its opening. And Midge's manager Susie Myerson suffers a loss and turns to an unexpected source for help.
2. (3.06) "Kind of Bleu" - Midge's parents, Abe and Rose Weissman; find respite from Queens and Joel's parents, Moise and Shirley Maisel; while visiting Midge in Miami. Joel and his neighbor, Mei Lin squabble over a liquor license for the bar. Midge helps Shy out of a scrape.
3. (3.01) "Strike Up the Band" - Midge performs at a Christmas USO show ahead of touring with Shy. Susie learns the ins and outs of contract negotiation. Meanwhile, Abe and Rose grapple with their new financial situation, following the loss of his job last season.
4. (3.07) "Marvelous Radio" - While Shy takes a break from the tour, Midge and Susie head back to New York City and hustle for work. Abe is elated when someone publishes a piece he wrote. The Maisels gather for the bris of Astrid's baby. And Sophie Lemmon suffers from stage fright during her Broadway debut.
5. (3.02) "It's the Sixties, Man!" - Midge quarrels with Susie taking on her nemesis Sophie Lemon as a new client. Rose travels to Oklahoma in order to her wealthy oil family to increase her trust fund allowance. Joel meets Mei for the first time, and finds her both frustrating and intriguing. Midge and Joel deal with their divorce.
6. (3.03) "Panty Pose" - Abe and Rose arrive at the Maisels' new house in Queens. Midge struggles with her act as Shy's tour kicks off, as her New York-oriented act receives an indifferent reception from the Las Vegas audience.
7. (3.04) "Hands!" - Joel visits Midge, while she continues Shy's tour in Vegas. Rose and Abe struggle as they adjust to their new life. Susie scores a big role on Broadway for her new client, Sophie.
8. (3.05) ""It's Comedy or Cabbage" - Midge runs into old friend and fellow comedian Lenny Bruce in Miami. Abe grows frustrated with his beatnik friends, while Rose reaches her breaking point with Shirley.
