Favorite Episodes of "ARROW" Season Five (2016-2017)
Below is a list of my favorite episodes from Season Five of "ARROW", the CW adaptation of the D.C. Comics hero, the Green Arrow. Created by Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Andrew Kreisberg; the series starred Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen aka the Green Arrow:
FAVORITE EPISODES OF "ARROW" SEASON FIVE (2016-2017)
1. (5.17) "Kapiushon" - The season's big bad, Prometheus, goes to extreme lengths to destroy the psyche of Oliver Queen aka Green Arrow. In flashbacks, Oliver's violent tendencies come to a head in a confrontation with his former Bratva mentor Anatoly Knyazev.
2. (5.09) "What We Leave Behind" - After an attack on fellow teammate Curtis Holt aka Mr. Terrifc, Oliver realizes Prometheus is planning to make a deadly move on all of Team Arrow. Felicity Smoak and her boyfriend police detective Billy Malone find a clue that ties Prometheus to Oliver's past.
3. (5.08) "Invasion!" - After Oliver and a few others are kidnapped by the alien invaders - the Dominators - in Part 2 of the Arrowverse crossover, he wakes up to a life in which his parents are alive and he is about to marry the late Laurel Lance aka Black Canary. Felicity faces a new threat with the help of The Flash and Supergirl.
4. (5.16) "Checkmate" - Oliver gets closer to the truth about Prometheus. The hackvist organization Helix refuses to continue helping Felicity until she does a favor for them.
5. (5.23) "Lian Yu" - Oliver assembles a group of unlikely allies - Slade Wilson aka Deathstroke, Nyssa al Ghul, Malcolm Merlyn aka the Dark Arrow and Digger Harkness - to engage in an epic battle against Prometheus and his army.
