Below is a list of my favorite episodes from Season Two of "LUKE CAGE", the Marvel Netflix adaptation of the Marvel Comics hero Luke Cage. Created by Cheo Hodari Coker, the series starred Mike Colter as Luke Cage:

FIVE FAVORITE EPISODES OF "LUKE CAGE" SEASON TWO (2018)



1. (2.06) "The Basement" - When a wave of violence rocks Harlem, vigilante Luke Jones and the NYPD races to connect the dots between Wall Street broker Raymond "Piranha" Jones, former councilwoman/club owner Mariah Dillard, and gangster John "Bushmaster" McIver with the grisly find at the Family First clinic.



2. (2.10) "The Family Way" - Fellow vigilante Danny Rand aka Iron Fist visits Harlem to help Luke hunt for Bushmaster. Mariah sets out to reclaim her empire from the Jamaican born gangster. And NYPD detective Mercedes "Misty" McKnight pursues an informant who had betrayed the police.



3. (2.03) "Wig Out" - Worried that Luke might be heading down a dark path, lover and former nurse Claire Temple pays a visit to his father, the Reverend James Lucas, leading to a major quarrel between the couple. Bushmaster makes a bid for Mariah's guns.



4. (2.09) "For Pete's Sake" - Hunkered down in a makeshift safe house while hiding from Bushmaster's men, Luke and Misty butt heads over how to handle their captor Mariah. Meanwhile, Mariah finally reveals her long-buried family secrets to her daughter Tilda Johnson.



5. (2.05) "All Souled Out" - Desperate to drum up quick cash for a lawsuit filed against for assault, Luke weighs an offer from Pirahna Jones, a fervent fan. Mariah invites Tilda to join the new family business.
