Just under 2.5 years in Ottawa and I only just tried a beavertail. Also only the second time I have been on the canal.
I might have been here that long, but the first two years are a blur of class, work and thesis. This is the first winter that I have been able to spend my evenings and weekends idly. It has been just above 0° for the last few days, so being outside has actually been enjoyable too. I am not confident that that canal will be open much longer though, given how slushy the warm weather is making it.
