California Dreamin' on such a Winters Day
Soooooo you all are probably wondering why I am updating if I'm all in Cali and whatnot.
That would be because I'm NOT in Cali and whatnot.
Here's the story:
So everything yesterday goes according to plan. I get up early, shower, go send my package *bee hee hee*. I go get Tami, we go to DSW and David's Bridal and after a small snafu with the dress and us being pissed at Keli (what else is new though right?) we get our dresses ordered and head to lunch. Tami, Joe and I have lunch at Coney, have a good ol time....laughing and hitting on the waitress and breaking lenton sacrifices. Everything was going according to plan. James comes and gets me, we go to the credit union, get some cash, he fills up his car and we head out to the Airport.
We get there early, which excited me. Then James says "They may already know you aren't going to get on your flight, if they do call me and I'll come right away". Little did I know James was right!
I get to the counter and say "Hi, I'd like to get on the Standby list for LAX, and I have a buddy pass" ...just like I had rehearsed in my head and the lady says "...I don't know if we're allowing any standby on that flight let me go call.." I stand and wait for her..... she comes back and says "I can put you on the list and you can wait if you want, but I wouldn't. I just talked to Central Ops and there's over a 1000 lbs of mail on this flight, and unfortunately mail takes precedence over non-revenue passengers. You have a very slim chance of getting on this flight. Tomorrow has 5 seats available still though." Which is good because Friday's flight was sold out on Wednesday.
So long story short, I'm going to Cali today. I WILL get on this flight....if it kills me lol. If I have to strap myself and my luggage to the wing, I will go!
