Oh how I love shopping for dresses....not.
So for a little background for those of you know don't know...my friend Keli is getting married in May. Like....4 months ago she picked out these really pretty dresses from this "specialty shop" in Universal Mall. The trouble....they ran like 3 sizes small. Sarah couldn't fit in the dress. AND the staff was totally snotty and I wanted to punch them in the head. So after I was essentially ridiculed for being fat, I finally convinced her to let me get my own dress, since I'm the maid of honor.....got it off ebay, its cute, whatever. Then she goes back, and the dress she wants in discontinued. We're back to square one. So we needed to go dress shopping.
We went to 1 bridal salon, two malls, davids bridal, and dsw today. I'm exhausted. Shopping with Keli is like torture. We seriously went into every store that had a dress in it today. And shoes, and accessories.... I wanted to pull my hair out. Then random stores like Borders, Yankee Candle Company....
After we roamed around the two malls and ate something....finally...I was starving...lol...we went to David's bridal, and lo and behold, we found a dress. Not that Tami and I have been telling her to go there forever or anything. And they have my size, and it doesn't look horrible on me. Yay! So I get to match, which she wanted...and its not that expensive, so that's good... this is the dress we picked out
The dress
I know it looks clingy, but its not..its really cute. And she's holding a scarf in her hand, we're going to have them around our necks. And we found cute shoes at DSW for a reasonable price. But I swear the girl makes my blood pressure rise. The first thing she did when she got to Tami's was yell at me for my car being in her way. She had to park on the street...and walk 50 feet to Tami's door. Oh my, what a workout.
But its done, we have dresses and everyone is happy with them. Hopefully. I hope her fiance, Tim, likes them.... cause we all do. And I have a feeling Keli is going to put her foot down and say "listen bitch, do you know how hard it was to find dresses for these girls, shut the hell up!"
Yay its done :)
