Formed humbly in 2006 by the Wunderkind Poets(tm) Jesse Mazzola and Michael Thacker as an act of defiance against the blatant commercialization of public poetry reading at a local cafe ($5 to read poetry!?! To people who're going to be too busy waiting for their turn to listen anyway?!? CRIMINAL!), The Assault Poets Collective is an elite troupe of COMBAT POETS set upon up-ending the stuffy status quo of the proletariat's verse. Poetry will never be the same... Eat Balls.
