Four way contrast...

Johnny Cash The Legend 4-CD Box Set
This was too easy to not pass up. This box retails for $50 and Best Buy had it on sale for $29.99. It was about time I got more old school country in my collection. The only thing I had was a Patsy Cline greatest hits. A few years back I was tempted to get a Merle Haggard box but didn't. I always enjoyed listening to old school Johnny Cash but just never bought any CDs. I Walk The Line, Boy Named Sue and Folsom Prison Blues are classics. Like I said, 106 songs for $30 is too good to pass up.

Public Enemy Power To The People and the Beats: Best Of CD
Another seminal group to music. While my hip hop collection is limited to a couple of Beastie Boys and NWA CDs, it was about time I got some PE in there. It's shame that it took me this long to own a PE CD. Well, better late than never. All the hits are included here. Except I think that the version of Fight The Poweris a remix.

Blink 182 Take Off Your Pants and Jacket LP
I never knew that this was reissueed on vinyl. Well, technically, it isn't a reissue since it was never released on vinyl to be begin with. It's not a great pressing though. It's a little trebley. But that's alright. The cool thing is that it has the two unlisted songs from the CD, Fuck A Dog and What Went Wrong. Regardless, my quest to collect Blink 182 on vinyl continues...

Experimental Audio Research Worn To A Shadow CD
Another ambient release from Sonic Boom. Even though all of EAR's release are pretty much the same ideas (super mellow droney ambient soundscapes), each album has a very distinct sound that differs from the others. It's defintely great music to just relax and chill to.

blink 182, experimental audio research, johnny cash, public enemy
