the buck stops where?

Did anyone else catch our Emperor's address last night? It was the biggest bunch of empty hot air that I'd ever heard. That sanctimonious monkey puppet was in rare form. Defensive, arrogant, and seemingly incapable of admitting to ANY kind of wrongdoing or error. His answers were unusually indirect and and off-topic, even for the present secretive administration. What makes it even worse is that the press had been thoroughly defanged. No follow-up questions or pleas for redirection were allowed, and in fact I've heard that the reporters were "pre-interviewed" by the Secret Service, likely in order to scare them away from asking the tough, ugly questions that need answering.
I know that people in this nation are either too apathetic or intimidated to actually DO anything about the current state of this country, but anyone who has even HEARD of critical thinking should be terrified of the prospect of another 4 years of this man and his corporate war-profiteer masters attepting to rule the world. It's like they're trying to pull off being Machiavellian, except without the whole "cunning" part.
The sickect, saddest part of the whole thing is that I'm almost happy that Cheney is the De Facto Emperor. He may be monstrously evil, but at least he's competent!
