Let's recap, shall we?

Cooperstown and Rochester were lovely! We also drove up to Niagara and I saw the falls for the first time! We played at Dave and Busters and went to Nightmare Fear Factory which is on a few "top Haunted Houses" lists (it was terrifying, actually, so yeah, well deserved). Pictures are forthcoming as I know there were a few of you wanted to see some shots of the Baseball Hall of Fame.

SHERLOCK

“We’ve all worked out exactly how Sherlock Holmes survived at the end of the series finale, right? WRONG.

At our exclusive Radio Times covers party last night, co-creator Steven Moffat said there’s something in Sunday night’s episode, The Reichenbach Fall, which everyone has overlooked.
Moffat admitted he had been following the fevered speculation about how Sherlock, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, could appear alive and well in the last scene of the episode, despite having apparently fallen to his death and, indeed, been buried. But according to Moffat, all the fans’ talk of switched corpses and mystery cyclists has been lacking a crucial detail.
“I’ve been online and looked at all the theories,” Moffat told us, “and there’s one clue that everyone’s missed. It’s something that Sherlock did that was very out of character, but which nobody has picked up on.”

What does he mean? Of course we tried to convince him - and fellow Sherlock creator Mark Gatiss, who also attended the party - to elaborate, but Moffat merely smiled and said that was all we were getting!
Over to you…”
- Steven Moffat for Radio Times

Let's make a list of what Sherlock did that was out of character:
  • Added both Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson to his list of "friends" when Jimmy was threatening him at the climax.
  • Asked for Molly's help, which would lead most to believe that his being alive and well at the end did indeed have something to do with switched corpses.
  • Called John instead of texting.

And then there was this on tumblr:

I’ve got one theory about Sherlock’s trick. John took Sherlock’s pulse and thought he was dead. How did Sherlock managed to fool John, a trained army doctor, on that? During the show, a clue was laid. The fourth substance from the kidnapper’s footprint was Rhododendron ponticum, and Grayanotoxin is a toxin extracted from Rhododendron ponticum and one of its symptom is slowed heartbeat. The film Sherlock Holmes(2009) also utilizes this chemical to fake Blackwood’s death.

“I’ve been online and looked at all the theories,” Moffat told us, “and there’s one clue that everyone’s missed. It’s something that Sherlock did that was very out of character, but which nobody has picked up on.”

What did Sherlock do that is very out of his character? He cried, and well, sniffed. The symptoms of Grayanotoxin other than slowed heartbeat are watery eyes and runny nose.(look http://www.rightdiagnosis.com/p/plant_poisoning_grayanotoxin/symptoms.htm)

    THOUGHTS!? FEELINGS!? CONSPIRACY THEORIES!?

    WHITE COLLAR

Well, I can't say that it was as spectacular as I was hoping, and I thought that the out they gave with Keller was a bit shark-jumpy and are too tidy. White Collar has this way of wrapping things up far too easily that I can't really get on board with. For instance, I would have roughly sixty percent of the episodes end with the feds busting in at the very last second and taking down the bad guy.

    That really bores me.

But back to the episode at hand. I really enjoyed the strife between Keller and Neal, specifically the lighter-lit scene in the army truck. I thought that was incredibly telling of both Neal and Keller and I'm glad they included it. It gave the audience some true insight into their past.

My overall favorite part of the episode was the cunning that Elizabeth demonstrated in escaping.

What's going to happen with Mozzie? And what, if anything, is going to happen with Sarah? AND OH YEAH, NEAL BEING PARDONED!? WHAT THE WHAT!? (Of course he's still going to stay on board and help Peter because they're biffles and they love each other, duh.)

    JUSTIFIED

People I love on this show, in order:
  • Art Mullen
  • Boyd Crowder
  • Tim Gutterson
  • Raylan Givens

Boyd's misplaced sense of justice, how I love it. This backwards, country logic is something that gives this show an extra edge because, well, there's the law that Raylan represents and then there's the law of the land, that Boyd and Ava and the not-so-criminals (or maybe criminals, I can't rightly say) represent. Somehow, Raylan has to walk the fine line between both and that's a very compelling aspect for me.

Well, with Boyd back in prison and Dewey and Dickie all friendly, that should be interesting.

Did anyone happen to see the previews for the season? With Art totally beating the hell out of someone? Is it bad that this was the only thing that got me REALLY excited?

Oh also, HEY, DESMOND HARRINGTON FROM DEXTER IS IN THIS NOW!? WHAT!? Yeah, he's alright but he can't seem to shake his New York accent.
