I have a real thing for Danny Woodhead, there, I said it. Because, how cute is he?

Going out to our annual Christmas dinner at Eastern Standard. Yeah, so... cutting this no-booze thing short. Because it's tradition, damn it!

For day 18 of my holiday fic advent.

Grissom/Sara, "christmas as a married couple"

"How fantastic is it that we have a fireplace? I've always wanted to hang stocking above a fireplace. You have no idea."

Sara was giddy. Perhaps giddy wasn't the word, she was glowing. Positively glowing with excitement. Though this was far from their first Christmas together-their third, to be specific-this was the first holiday that they'd set aside the time to celebrate properly.

They'd both set aside their thoughts regarding chopping down majestic pines in order to embellish them with gaudy baubles, and had made it their mission to go out and purchase the most charismatic of the group.

They wound up with a douglas fir, scoliosis trunk curving bizarrely towards the top. IT sat in their living room, mismatching ornaments adorning the branches, tinsle clinging precariously to the needles. It was topped by a star purchased at the thrift store that looked like a large, decorated sugar cookie.

Grissom smiled at his wife-his wife, how wild-as he hung a lumpy stocking under the mantle. "It's pretty fantastic," he assured her.

Sara stood back and surveyed the decorated tree, the candles, the lights, the fire; she sighed. "How fantastic is it that we're married?"

He paused, smiled, his head bent.

"Pretty, very fantastic.
