The reason why I'm in love with B&N is because, while shopping for some crochet books last night I decided to take a look through the "red dot 50% off" pile of books. To my amazement, I found a book that I've been wanting to buy for at least a year and a half. Now, while this is exciting to get a book you want at 50% off, it's not the best part ( Read more... )

Oh NICE. And do you have a B&N card so you got the additional 10% off the books too? That card is so beyond worth it, especially for someone like me who could LIVE in a bookstore and be perfectly content.

I don't actually have my own. Steph had one for a while so I just used hers, but she didn't renew it nor was she at B&N with me, so I didn't get the % off. I've been thinking about getting my own, but haven't done it yet. I do love bookstores very much, but definitely find myself ordering from Amazon b/c it usually comes out cheaper and I can get free shipping. LOL.

You know, if you know what phone number Steph gave, you can say "oh, my sister/aunt/cousin has one, can you try this number" and they'll look it up. I doubt they'll do it if you say "my girlfriend/friend/non-family member" has one, but you could always try it.

OH! I have to get the name of this great bookstore in Montclair for you. It's a used bookstore, and it's huge and awesome.

LOL, Steph didn't renew her membership, so even if I gave the number connected they'd want me to renew it....so I should just get my own.

Is it the book store kinda on Bloomfield Ave? By Cafe Eclectic? If so, I LOVE that place!

Oooh right. I forgot that you'd said it was expired.

You really should get a card, though. If you go there enough, it is SO worth it. After one shopping trip, I literally only had to pay an extra $5 to get the card, I was saving that much. And you get the discount on top of all the other discounted books.

I think it's off Bloomfield kinda. I never actually went to or knew where Cafe Eclectic was. People always talked about it, but I never went. This place is huge, with a balcony of non-fiction stuff, and like five different rooms, and then a basement full of books too. It's awesome and huge and I want to go back.

Yep, yep, that's the Montclair Bookstore I'm talking about! It's really fun in there and they have every back issue of Weird NJ!
