Wow Am I ever going stir-crazy!!! I'm used to having my day spread allover the place, changing clothing at least once, cranking the music in my car and singing along (poorly), etc.... I don't know what to do with myself.
First I usually physically exert myself at least once a day. If it's not yoga or pilates or exercise on demand then it's a good jog through the state park or a round of frisbee golf. Now I go from the couch to the chair and vice versa for the most part. Too much energy and drive, no outlet for it.
My personal hygene has suffered greatly. God I want a shower. I would settle for a bath but I only have a very small shower stall. I feel disgusting. I wash my face/bangs at least once a day but the rest of me is too difficult. I can't even put my hair up or tighten a ponytail that is falling out which is very annoying. At least lefty combined with a spin brush do a decent job scrubbing my teeth.
At least I got to go out today with my sister and her kids. They are all very sympathetic. My sister did my dishes and my nephew took out the trash. My niece kissed my broken arm and my baby niece sang Witchdoctor w/me. Today we went to a nice lunch at Applebees and then a little school shopping at T.J. Maxx. I Found a sexy/cute very comfortable looking dress on clearance that was blue and white- same colors as my sling. I put it on when I got home and at least got to feel sexy for a bit- that was a nice change. Wish I had some pictures. And it helps me make wearing a sling look hott. Soon everyone will be rocking the sling. There will be designer lines in a rainbow of colors and have bling. Yeah.
Talked to one of my best friends from back in college. We haven't talked in a bit. She is going to come stay with me next Tue. after the surgery. Thank god - I feel so cut off from people I don't know if I can take another week. Can't you tell from how much I've been blogging??
And Kristina told me that I wasn't handicapped I was handicapable. That's how I felt this morning. I made coffee, baked Gingerbread, and washed some dishes (which is much more difficult one handed than I thought it would be - try it sometime).
Anyone got ideas for me keeping buisy, keeping physically fit, keeping from smelling too bad, or keeping my spirits up? Got any tasks to challenge me to one handed?
