Cloverfield, among other things

We went and saw Cloverfield at 12:15, and it was amazing. I really enjoyed everything about it. Sure, they didn't really answer any questions, and they didn't explain anything including things you kind of wished they had (SPOILER ALERT: stomach/chest bursting - was it an explosion or an Alien type thing; what's the deal with the little monsters; etc.) I'll say this - if you get motion sickness, probably not a great choice for you. But it was shot well, the movie was compelling, the perfect length. I was on the edge of my seat, and I want to see it again. The characters were likable, but more importantly they felt pretty real. The acting was excellent because, as I said, it almost FELT real like these were actual people in a shitty situation and we just happen to have their video footage...

Afterwards came home and started working on stuff. My resume is actually up to date, so don't need to do much there. I do need to work on cover letters for, well, any job I find. I did find a couple postings on RamCT. I e-mailed one of them to ask them a couple questions, the other I'll be sending a resume and cover letter to as soon as I can (probably tomorrow). I'm really starting to think that staying in Fort Collins might be the best choice for the time being, so hopefully I can find some kind of job. Right now it appears to be leaning towards financial analyst positions, but we'll see what I can find and what I can get hired for.

I have to go to work in about an hour and a half. Tonight shouldn't be too bad. It's a 6 hour shift, and I'm pretty sure we don't have any Rewards packets in, so I don't need to worry about that. We might be busier than we have been the past few weeks because everyone is coming back into town, but at the same time everyone might be getting ready for school or out partying, so maybe they won't want to be renting movies. I guess we'll see.

I got my W2 form from First Worthing in the mail today. I don't know if I'll need to file or not yet, but once i get my W2 from Blockbuster I guess I'll know better. If I do file, this will be the first time filing my taxes, which makes me a little nervous, but since I'm still a dependent and since I didn't make a ton of cash this year, it might be pretty easy.

I need to eat some food and head to work.
