Today was my second day working at Grouse Mountain as a snowboard instructor. I have to say this is job is an absolutely joy. Most of the instructors are young and chilled-out so I get along with them all real swell. The only people I don't get along with are a couple of my superiors who give me nasty looks because I have piercings (even though I take them out during work). I teach kids age 7-14 who have never boarded before, except a few who have gone one or two times in the past. Almost all the kids are amazing and I get along with them spledidly. One kid was even doing a 50/50 on a 5 foot rainbow rail - pretty bloody impressive for his so-called second day. Me and the other instructor in my group figure he was either lying about not boarding before or he's some child prodigy.
I lost a glove today after I left the chalet, so I have to go buy a new pair. Yay for forking out 50-100 bucks to replace fairly new gloves.
I'm going to shower now then call Alicia and meet her downtown to deal with this glove problem + get a new lip retainer because I broke it already + get a new hoody/maybe jeans.
