where my beaches at?
brandi and i are going to look at an apartment this afternoon... it's off of perkins b/w bluebonnet and siegen. they look really nice, too bad they're $700 a month. i think i can handle that though w/ the extra money dad's gonna give me. turns out he's giving me like $225, so i'd be paying $125 for my half of the rent, but that doesn't include electricity, cable, or internet. on top of that i have to pay for insurance, which is probably about to go up b/c mom is screwing me over again by putting me under my own name for insurance. the cheapest she's found so far is $170 a month. all i have to say is, she better be helping me pay for some of this crap.
so i met someone... his name is taylor. he'll be 17 next month so he's only a little more than a year younger than me, but he acts a lot older, like the majority of my friends. he's really really cute, shaves his legs and arms, and he's really sweet. i really don't understand how this guy found me, he's perfect for me. so here's the story...
i had been talking to him on myspace for about a week or so, he added me. we were just talking casually and he mentioned that he worked at cheeburger cheeburger. i said that i had never gone before and asked him how it was and how he liked it. he said he loves it and i should come by some time. i was like, alright then when do you work. so on saturday sandy, lauren, and i go to cheeburger. we walk in and he sits us in his section b/c the hostess wasn't around. when i saw him i was like, hot damn! he's cuter than the pics on myspace, considering those are from like a year ago. he has a goatee type thing, but it's cute... i don't even like facial hair that much and it works for me haha. dinner went really well. at first it was kinda awkward b/c he was busy helping table and we both wanted to talk to eachother but we'd both kind of stare at eachother b/c we didn't know what to say and he had to go help his other tables. so when he finally got rid of the other tables he came and introduced himself to all of us, which was really polite. i informed him that sandy and lauren weren't lesbians b/c they were afraid he would think that they were so i told him for an icebreaker. they were like, damnit derek that was an inside joke. hehehe. a couple times he knocked these cards over... it was cute b/c i could tell he was nervous and i was like awww poor baby. i was sitting down so you couldn't tell i was nervous. so he came back a number of times and we talked a good bit. he started telling me about how he was working a double the next day (sunday) and was off from like 3-5. he was like... i guess i'll just hang around here or go to jason's deli (his car's in the shop so he can't drive anywhere right now) and i was just like oh ok. then it registered to me that he was inviting me to come visit so i offered to come by on his break and gave him my phone number. it was so funny b/c i'm so slow to catch on sometimes hehe. i'm a retard. so then i gave him my number and we just chilled for a little while then left. i told him good meeting him and hoped he would call me the next day.
after i cut the grass and go get snow balls w/ nae and julia on sunday, we get back to my house and i get a voice mail but no phone call. i freaked out b/c it was him and he told me he had just gone on break and was walking over to jason's deli and wanted me to come meet him up there. after i let julia and danae listen to the message i accidentally deleted it w/ out getting his number. i got so upset and was about to just drive over there and see if he's there, but he called! i told him i had just gotten his message and was headed over there. this was around 3ish. julia and danae headed there too but stopped for gas first. so i met him at jason's deli and we went inside. he offered to buy me food, but i told him i wasn't hungry so i just got a water. we sat down at our table and just started talking a good bit. our conversation flowed really well, i was surprised. then danae showed up and sat next to taylor and those two hit it off. then julia came from the bathroom and sat by me. they stayed for about 15 minutes and we all just talked like we had all been friends forever. it was so neat that they all got along so well. those two left so we could be alone and talk and we just talked the whole time. a couple of his friends from jason's deli dropped by and talked a little while. at one point he got up to get a refill and asked me if i wanted one... i was like awww. then his friend cammie came by and sat down w/ us b/c she started her shift at 5 and that was when his next shift started at cheeburger. she was pretty funny. 10 min. before 5 we went outside and the two of them smoked. on the way out i was telling kasey bye and he held the door for me. another awww lol. i don't think he smokes too much, b/c i told him i didn't like smoking before i knew he did and he said he doesn't do it too often, just when he's stressed. he was working a double so he had an excuse. he looked really cute smoking it though haha. so after they finished their cigarettes he gave me a hug (two-handed, which was nice b/c he's like 6'l"... i'm not used to hugging taller ppl but i didn't mind hehe) and told me he'd call me later. so that went really well.
well yesterday (monday) he calls me at the end of my break at work and sounded kind of upset. i asked what was up and he explained that when his dad picked him up from work sunday night he chewed him out b/c his stepsister found out taylor was gay. she's like 16... apparently they didn't want her to figure out b/c they were afraid her dad would have a problem w/ it and wouldn't let her visit. anyway, somehow she found out, taylor didn't tell her. he thinks it was one of her friends or something. so taylor's dad, who is the lieutenant of the state police, told him that he's grounded until his birthday (july 25th i think) and once he turns 17 he might be kicked out of the house. i was like, wtf? he didn't even do anything wrong. sounds kinda like my mom, right? his dad sounded kinda like my mom, he said he accepted the gay thing but really didn't like it and now grounding him for a month and might be kicking him out b/c of it. makes sense right? so i don't even know if i can visit him at his house for the next month... i doubt it since his dad has such a problem with him being gay. i hope he still has his phone. i'll call during my 2:45 break. everything was going so well, and his dad had to go off and freak out on him. i feel so bad b/c i know how overreactive parents can be. if i can't visit him at his house, i guess i'll have to go to cheeburger more often hehe. if his dad does kick him out and we're still on good terms he can come live with me for a while. that'd be fine w/ me *wink wink* lol. i really hope this all works out b/c he's so nice.
EDIT: taylor called me before i got the chance. he's only grounded until sunday now; he's not sure about his car situation or if he's getting kicked out. all is still well between us!
