So SF was awesome. My friend was going to spend the weekend there for her birthday, and I went with her.
She knows her way around, which was nice. I don't, particularly. And she was excited to show me a city she loves.
Ducks tour, catching some of the hoopla surrounding BatKid and his day, opening of crab season, walking up to Coit tower at sunset, cruise on the bay under the Golden Gate bridge and around Alcatraz, touring the historical ships moored at the dock, Chinatown, Twin Peaks view, aquariums galore, Haight-Ashbury, and shopping. :)
Took a zillion pictures, which is far more fun than editing and sorting all the pictures. Been looking for a source to post pictures other than Flickr, which is horrid now, but haven't found anything that works for me. Everything I've looked at is equally annoying. So I'm unfortunately staying with Flickr for now.
Thought I'd lost my camera, but hubby found it in the car. Whew. Had slid into a little hiding place and wasn't visible until we looked in the daylight. So yay! I'd used both my cameras, one for taking good pictures, and the other for snapshots and geo-tagging.
And now it's good to be home. We just started the first Nutcracker of the season. Second one in a couple weeks and I may be setting up a third. We'll see.
