Partnership and trust

I've noticed a lot of couples lately who don't tell each other things. One guy bought a motorcycle/pit bike, but isn't telling his girlfriend until tax refund time. Another doesn't tell his wife he smokes. A wife buys things and doesn't tell her husband how much she spent.

This seems to me a terrible way to run a relationship. How long do you continue to keep things from your spouse? Doesn't that make you feel alienated from them? I would.

Much better to meet things head-on. In my admittedly biased opinion. :)
