Well, not really. And it hasn't been for a while, either. I hope that didn't just jinx it; 'cause that would be annoying. I'll shut up now.
Haha! Still talking! Typing, same thing. I had a good day today. I rode my bike the 2 miles to school! It was great! Except that my mom wanted to come along because she "had a bad feeling about this". That was a little annoying, but I lived. Then we found out that MattieBoy's redpack had fallen off, including his life-saving epipen and his bikelock key. So he had to call and my mom did find it, right outside our subdivision. It had gotten run over many times, so the glass had shattered. But the key was in good condition, and that was the only non-replaceable thing.
Emily read her excellent detective story, during all of first and part of second. You are brave, Emily; I was having trouble after about 10 minutes of reading. Hook is a good movie.
I had finished my bag yesterday so I sewed rows of 4 seam samples. I can sew pretty fast, so I got through about 5. Yesterday my machine was acting up, and today Eric's did the same. Several times. It was kinda funny, especially because it happened to me too.
Apparently we had won in softball yesterday. Bobby and Justin got REALLY mad at Annika because she told Mr Can't-remember-who-gym-teacher that we had tied, and he wouldn't change the sheet. Ah well. We're probably in first place anyway. Oh wait, since we haven't lost yet, we are! This is the first year I am on a team that doesn't drive me up the wall and make me want to kill them with a baseball bat. Hey, not the greatest murder weapon ( sharpened chalk is better; I can't believe that the funniest math things happen when I am not there!), but it's all I had on hand. Well not really, but I'll tell you about that later.
I sure didn't believe Ian when he said we had chorus. I thought we were done for the year, except for the popsicle day. OH! I am bringing this HUGE thing of peanut butter tomorrow because I can't bring it home and hide it in my room. I would if I could. The kid isn't always welcome in my room, it's just my mom's PARANOIA!!! I didn't eat lunch that period.
Field trip!!! w00t! There were I-didn't-count many of us. Let's see. Mrs Frank, Mrs Fitch (she's back!), me, Emily, Vivian, Dana, Michelle, Dean, Corey, and what's that other girl's name! I forgot! Sorry, sixth grade girl who's name I don't remember! So that's 10. It was great! We got to skip 6 period, except we were looking for Mrs Fitch, then Mrs Frank went off to find her, then Mrs Fitch came back and we were looking for Mrs Frank. After we got ourselves all sorted out and Emily talked into the microphone, we went to Lou Malnotti's. I got 1.5 mozzarella sticks and 1.5 pieces of pizza. I shared the cheese, and I couldn't finish the pizza. The deep dish is huge! We each got a large soda, and I managed to drink it all. Of course, I regretted that an hour later, when I was squirming in math class. We walked back, Vivian, Dana, Emily, and I talking the whole way. Then we met up with the marching band, watched them for a little while, then Emily and I ran as fast as possible up to study hall to buy dance tickets. So we stayed there for 5 minutes. Then on to science.
Another group presented. I think some of their info was wrong. They said that 10 meters deep was 1.4 atmospheres. My scuba diving book says it's 1 atm. I will trust the scuba book. At least we're not having a test. Nothing much interesting.
Math we worked on the review. I finished in time to check it. I got a few problems wrong, but nothing too bad.
Softball after school. It went great for half an hour. Then I was playing third and Michelle was on base. I think the first basemen wanted to get a double play, or just overthrew the ball, but it hit me right in the right eye. Hard. It was really funny, especially when I looked in the mirror, and my right pupil was really tiny and the left was really large. But then it went away. I probably won't have a black eye. Darn. It hit off my glasses. But softball was fun all the same. Ben, as the catcher, was insulting everybody from our team at bat, with mostly sexist comments. So I taught Kirsten a new word, xenomaniac. Afterward, Matthew, Kirsten, and I rode home.
We took Kirsten's route, just to try it. It wasn't bad, until we had to get to Chicago Avenue. We'll probably take Benton again next time. Matthew didn't really want to ride again, but he probably will.
Then I came home and dinner will be ready soon. SO good bye for now.
