My mom just called. My grandma died.

I am so happy that randomcub and I got to see her just a few weeks ago. I kind of suspected it would be the last time I saw her, but I didn't think it would be this quick. She seemed to pass peacefully. She had lunch today as normal and they went to get her from her room at 2 o'clock for some entertainment thing they were having where she lived and they found her on the floor of her room and she was gone. Knowing my grandma, I think her last words were probably "Oh Shit" or something to that effect.

I just found out about a half hour ago so I am still kind of numb. She had a good life and we knew this was coming (we just started her on hospice care two weeks ago) and I suspect she was ready to go. I hope she is surrounded by people she loved and as randomcub said when we went to visit a few weeks ago, when she arrived wherever we all end up, the first words out of her mouth on meeting someone she knew would be "Well, shit. What are you doing here?"

I love you grandma. I wouldn't be the person I am today without you.
