Well, there you go. Not so mysterious any more. Chickens, huh?

Unfortunately, yes chickens. Don't know why, haven't had a bad experience with them or anything...they just make me very uncomfortable to be around. I'm afraid they're going to fly at me or peck me or claw me with their icky taloned chicken feet. They're revolting.

Taste good though.

I have no fear of live chickens, but I cannot deal with them after they make it to the grocery store. I won't touch them with that nasty skin and white gunk connecting the bones and then with the salmonella. **shudder**

But I'll happily eat them if someone else cooks!

Well, generally we only get bags of skinless chicken breasts, so that's not too bad. I refuse to stick my hand up inside a whole chicken(or a turkey) to remove the neck and other icky parts the grocer sticks up there. Urgh. Smushing together meatloaf makes me rather queasy, too. Probably why my husband does most of the cooking around here...

I cook. But I almost never (okay never) cook with raw meat of any kind. I just can't deal with it. I'll use the packaged stuff if it's already cooked.
