This weekend was...well...interesting to say the least! Let's just say I had alot of fun and now I'm all relaxed and happy. If you want to know more, you'll just have to ask cuz it's one of those things I can't just post here for all to read! ;)
I am sooooo ready for this semester to be over with. My grades really suck...probably because of all the "good times" I've had with my friends. Oh well, I'm not gonna beat myself up over it. I think its one of those things that every college student experiences at least once while they're in school. I am really afraid of what my daddy is going to have to say about them though. Mama already knows and she even wants to keep them from him! That should definitely tell you something about my dad *cringes* We're going to have one last party on Friday night...and it's gonna kick some friggin' ass! Will has made CDs for it and there are like 40 something songs in all. I can't wait. Mom and Dena are both putting money in the mail for me this week, though I don't think they know where the money is going *shrugs*
OK, OK, so I know I've been flooding my LJ with song lyrics but I just can't resist. These were written by Michael Hudson, priest at St. David's Episcopal Church in Cullowhee, North Carolina. They're just lyrics...there isn't any particular song that goes with them...
"A Meditation Suitable for Trinity Sunday"
A narrow door need not exclude
one soul who turns to God today,
but opens to reveal the link
between the near and faraway.
As windows in the circled stones
convey a single shaft of light
to strike and mark the crucial point,
a narrow door puts God in sight.
And if we have to change our course
or climb or bend and sometimes strain
to catch the light, a child of God
will know it as creative pain.
O God, our Source and Goal and Guide,
the Ground we know and yet explore,
you draw us to this opening
and meet us in the narrow door.
