So, thought I'd update. My last post was quite happy; I'll be sure not to let that happen again, with the news that everyone around the world has been dreading:
Baxter's death. That's right, Baxter, our little gentleman from Foggy Londontown, has finally perished of another mysterious illness (not unlike his brothers and sisters, Josephine and Fat Mike). Perhaps his death is not so mysterious, though, when taking into account Jessi's habit of not cleaning the tank. It's sad. We've been pondering getting a Captain Sassypants though, so we can squirt water at it and laugh. When we have money (hopefully that day will come) we will get one.
I (finally!) saw the last installment of Star Wars, and it was good. I mean, real good. Haydenness. .and the Ewanness. .made it wonderful. The dialogue was quite priceless; the scriptwriter(s) for this movie should be shot. 'I promise you I won't die, Anie!' 'No, I promise you. .' However, I quite liked the moment at the end, when Anakin had finally become all-out Darth Vader and said 'If you're not with me, you're my enemy.' Jessi and I instantly burst out laughing at those familiar words, as did half of the theatre behind us. I am convinced George Lucas did that intentionally; he's such a sly boy.
Also saw 'Crash', which was very interesting. It had a great cast, and very talented scriptwriters, although Sandra Bolluck and Brendan Fraser were maybe in it for five minutes put together- basically window dressing. Jessi didn't like it, because of the way some races were portrayed, as well as the audience's reaction to some of the racial jokes. I'd definitely recommend it, although I'd say make sure you're prepared - it's quite intense *read* depressing at times. What good movies aren't, though? With the exception of all of William's masterpieces. It's a game of poetry. . .
Bwaha. Okay, last piece of news: Jessi has started working the night shift, from 11pm - 7am. What does that mean, you ask? It means FREE FOOD! Food they'd ordinarily throw out during the night shift, is now given to the Jessi and Eve Hunger Fund. And only the bagels are stale! If anyone else wants free food, make sure you visit Jessi and she will give you some. I'm serious. Also, you have permission from me to giggle uncontrollably at her flattering uniform. *nods* She appreciates it.
