Bɪᴏɢʀᴀᴘʜʏ:
Once upon a time, in a land not very far away (something like ten minutes outside of Seoul), there lived a boy named Im Jaebum. He was a very ordinary boy, average in his age for size, average tending towards higher in his class for grades, and average tending towards higher in the income his family lived on. He lived comfortably enough, his family loved him enough, and his struggles were minimal.
According to Jaebum, life truly began in high school, when he got his first copy of Starcraft II: Heart of the Storm.  He not only played it, he devoured it, only left with a greater craving for the RTS type game. He explored the series, finding the original Starcraft even better, and the expansion for that, Brood Wars, better still. Consider him hooked, mastering each piece of the series and making a name for himself as one formidable protoss player. He took part in smaller, local competitions, frequently placing within top three; nevermind newer games that came out, ones that were said to replace Starcraft in the ESports community. He'd found his niche.
University was a decision made for him by his parents, who had decided that the small pots he won off of being a competitive gamer were not reason enough to abandon education. Pick a course, any course, he'd gone for one he was almost certain would be an easy pass. What he was going to do with a bachelors in Earth Sciences, he wasn't sure, but it got his parents off his back.
Off to university it was, though it became more a front for his real dream than anything else. Any and all time that wasn't taken up in class was spent advancing his professional gaming career through excessive practice and live streaming his games, gathering a fanbase in Korea and abroad. With school came fraternities, though Jaebum had never really intended on joining one. It was by accident that he and his partner in crime, Jr, fell into a group of freshmen rushing for BCT, the pair sticking it out until the very end because-- why not? Nothing to lose, JB made his way into the house and is still there today. Quite happily so, actually.
Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ:
Significantly less overbearing than his counterpart JR, JB's temperment is more mild, energy more managable. Generally, anyway. He's easily wound up, and once he is it can go on for hours, crazy antics and stupid faces, voices, imitations and dances. A late bloomer (and certified dweeb), he's not the smoothest talker and has a bad tendency of oversharing when he's put on the spot or uncomfortable. Initial awkwardness aside, he's a friendly, well-meaning boy, deeply motivated (towards gaming) and goal-driven (still, gaming). Generally an intelligent young man despite what his actions may suggest about him, he is someone who believes himself to be right at least 99% of the time and does not like losing an argument. This, as well as doing poorly in matches has a tendency to make his temper flare hot and suddenly (nerd rage), but it usually settles just as quickly.
