With She-ra, have you tried washing your hands with a bit of washing up liquid before you handle her? Apparently, because their eyesight is so poor, they think we're dinner a lot of the time and if our hands smell of food, it just reinforces the message!

That would make a lot of sense, cause sometimes I put the food back into her bowl that she's thrown out, and then pick her up.
