He looks at Allison, who is staring out into the crowd, looking as surprised as he feels. He takes a moment to wonder if it’s showing on his face, even though he knows that it is.

I love this is told from Danny's POV and it is so well written, I am one of those that read this and like the way you write him, I hope that is how he is as a person because then I wouldn't mind it so much if he stuck around.
