2. The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien. He originally intended it to be one long book and so I will count it as one. The publishers insisted it be broken up into three volumes.

4. The Fifth Sacred Thing by Starhawk
5. To Say Nothing of the Dog by Connie Willis
6. The Zero Stone by Andre Norton
7. The Number of the Beast by Robert Heinlein
8. The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein
