#3Son passed his driver's test with flying colors yesterday. He didn't get a single point taken off! "Wow! I wish somebody had told me that was the easiest test I'd ever take!" The examiner even complimented him on his parking. They are so very nice at that testing center that it's worth driving thirty minutes to get there.
Sadly, the boy did not have his Social Security card with him and so did not get his license. Poor kid. He was devastated. ScrubsHub insists on keeping them in the safe deposit box (which drives me nuts but that's another story) and, by that time, the bank was closed. ScrubsHub left town for two weeks last night so it's on me and you've already heard what last week was like. I need to be cloned.
God, I felt so badly for him! We'd even been at the bank that morning to get his paperwork notarized. GAH!
So we went and got his 'so long it's curling' hair cut. The hairdresser teased him, telling him she was going to de-mullet him. At least he'll look beautiful for his license picture.
In other news, rain! Glorious rain! It has been so dry this summer that this is quite the treat. It's been raining pretty steadily for the past fifteen hours. So much for 'scattered showers'. Unfortunately, the DorkDog, who will blithely stand under the sprinkler when I'm watering the lawn/flowers will not go out into the rain and wet grass to pee. I have to go out with her and shoo her into the yard. *eyeroll* So now we're both wet.
