Canadians on my flist/dwircle, if you haven't signed the
Stop The Meter petition yet, can I please encourage you to do so? Bell, Rogers, and Telus want to put a pay meter on internet usage, which means charging per byte. Bell, Rogers, and Telus already control so much of Canada's internet access and instead of competing with each other to provide competitive prices for consumers, they're forcing everyone to pay their unrealistic prices.
CBC did a segment on how internet usage is currently billed and what it'll be like in the future.
