Ian Edgerton and House/Wilson FTW!

I haven't seen a House episode since "Wilson's Heart" (4x16), mostly because I'm not good at catching episodes week after week and prefer to wait for DVDs--and because I was hearing bad things from fandom. But fandom pretty much exploded this week with glee over the new House, so I had to download and watch. Yup, it was fantastic. *♥ Wilson*

He's such a fascinating character. He and House are so meant for each other, and I don't even necessarily mean that in a slashy way. I could easily see them living together like The Odd Couple (which explains the Pidgeon sisters reference, according to Wikipedia; I've never actually seen The Odd Couple), growing old, bitching about who's going to do the dishes and take out the trash. They are two sides to the same coin, and it's so good to see them reaching out to one another and finding a new balance. It's... sweet :)

Though I gotta say, Josh Malina as a self-important bastard was a bit of cognitive dissonance!

I also watched Numb3rs 6x08, the ep from two weeks ago. I actually tried watching 6x09 live last Friday, but lost interest ten minutes in. But "Ultimatum" 6x08 was awesome! Ian Edgerton (Lou Diamond Phillips) makes for a great recurring character. The action was great, the plot kept twisting and turning, and all the characters had solid character moments.

Damn, I'm going to miss this show when it's gone :( My friend S says that it's her happy show, and I have to agree, it totally is my happy show. The characters are lovely, people I'd want to invite over to my own home or hang out with at Second Cup or whatever. There aren't a lot of shows or characters where I can say that.

In real-life news, I have an appointment tomorrow with a "career consultant" who is going to talk to me about what I want to do next, clean up my resume, etc. There's also a networking cheese and wine thing, which I plan to attend, but which I suspect will be very, very awkward.
