Top 5 favourite PoC in any fandom
1. Teal'c, Stargate SG-1. For he is TEAL'C and MORE AWESOME THAN YOU and UNDOMESTICATED EQUINES ET CETERA.
2. Teh Sisko aka Captain Benjamin Lafayette Sisko of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. War leader, politician, officer, father, husband, emissary.
3. Max Guevera, Dark Angel. Leader of the revolution. She breaks my heart.
4. Charles Gunn, Angel. A hero long before the white boys came around.
5. Nyota Uhura, Star Trek XI. I love TOS Uhura too, but in a more abstract way. Reboot Uhura owns my soul.
There need to be more awesome Asian characters in scifi/fantasy.

5. Will Smith

Top 5 HBIC (Head Bitch In Charge) in fandom
1. CJ Cregg, The West Wing. Not exactly top dog, but CJ as CoS was made of so much win that I flail just seeing her on my TV screen.
2. Sam Carter, Stargate Atlantis. I'm referring to Sam's year as commander of Atlantis, where she embodied discernment, decisiveness, loyalty, and leadership.
3. Buffy Summers, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've probably been harder on her than she deserves, over the years. Whatever her flaws, you can't deny she saved the world a lot.
4. Keladry of Mindelan, Protector of the Small (Tamora Pierce's 3rd Tortall Quartet). A natural leader. A feminist. A White Knight. Not a Mary Sue.
5. Max Guevera, Dark Angel. I debated choosing Kira Nerys or Veronica Mars, but the former isn't really top dog and the latter has no authority over anyone. Max grows into her role as leader of Freak Nation and it's wonderful to see her embrace her mission.

bluflamingo: Top 5 ways for John and Cam to end up together
(#2-4 of these are plot bunnies I've been toying with, and of course I've already written #1.)
1. Cam tries to cheer up John during "The Return". They fall in love. Whether or not they previously knew each other, this is probably the most popular trope for Cam/John 'shippers ;)
2. Cam and Sam are part of the original Atlantis expedition. Sumner still dies, John wakes the Wraith, but the power structure on Atlantis shakes out differently since Cam and Sam out-rank John.
3. John runs away from boarding school and makes it as far as Kansas. Attracted by a local carnival, John meets Cam in the line-up for the ferris wheel. It's a summer romance until Frank and Wendy realise John's a runaway and makes him contact his parents. Years later, John and Cam meet again through the Stargate Program.
4. Cam and John meet in Afghanistan. It's not a summer romance, but there are real feelings mixed in with the sand and sweat and stress of war.
5. Non-Stargate AU. Cam's recovering from a crash and staying with Sam at her beach house while she works on fluid dynamics research with McKay. John's a surfing instructor who sees Cam on the beach and is smitten. Ronon and Teyla run a betting pool on how long it'll take them to realise they can live happily ever after. *g*

skieswideopen: Top 5 crossovers you'd like to read or write.
1.
My
Toby Ziegler/Nikki Wood crossover! Nikki Wood was the NYC Slayer killed in 1977. She would've been about the same age as Toby, possibly from the same Brooklyn neighbourhood, raised poor and disenfranchised. I wanted to explore the race relations between blacks and Jews in the 1970s while writing a friendship/unrequited romance (on Toby's part). It'd end tragically, obviously, but decades later Toby would be reunited with Nikki's son and be able to share that loss with someone. SOMEONE PLEASE WRITE THIS CROSSOVER FOR ME.
2.
Stargate SG-1/Numb3rs crossover! I came up with a plot last night! Inspiration struck when I realised that
Dylan Bruno makes a great Casey Mitchell (Cam's younger brother). Then I realised I didn't want just a Colby-lookalike, but Colby Granger himself. He'd be Cam's cousin, from the side of the family that's all Army, not Air Force. Since I might write this story one day, I'll outline the plot without spoiling the twist: On the run after someone frames him for a crime he didn't commit, Cam goes to Colby for help. Colby is torn between helping family versus betraying his team. There'd be David/Colby, and maybe Cam/John, depending on the timeline.
3.
Stargateverse/Buffyverse: Mini!Jack realises that the unremarkable girl at his high school has a dangerous secret life and decides to put his unique skills to good use by helping her fight the forces of darkness! Possibly mini!Jack/Dawn.
4.
Heroes/Without a Trace: When Molly goes missing from school, Matt and Mohinder have to cooperate with the Missing Persons squad while conducting their own search. The trick is to keep highly-trained FBI agents from noticing the people running around with superpowers.
5.
Highlander/Any Random Cop Show: Basically I love the idea of the characters from L&O or CSI or Numb3rs, etc., trying to track down a "serial killer" who chops off people's heads. The key is to not give away the secret. I hate it when fanfic authors write intensely secretive characters spilling the beans at the slightest provocation. It kills the tension and isn't very believable. The Immortals, the Watchers, all the Stargate characters, the Winchesters, and even the Buffyverse characters to a degree--none of them are going to share the truth with a random cop, even if that cop is Lennie Briscoe. Y'know? Most Immortals would stage their own deaths before they'd give up their secret.
